How can I get my page placed in the top 10 of the search engines? There are two major ranking factors: 1) Your site content and having keywords in your site content and 2) Link Popularity, meaning the more links there are towards your site from other sites the better you would do.You may also want to let us optimize your site for best search engine placement.
Where do people click the most? According to the "click tracking" heat map seen to the right (generated by Enquiro), you can see that the listings down the left hand side typically receive far more traffic than the paid (pay-per-click) listings found on the right. While 1-3 sponsored listings do sometimes appear on top left hand side, over 70% of all search engine traffic is through a non-sponsored listing.
Why is search engine positioning so important? Our search engine marketing firm can generate a tremendous amount of highly qualified traffic. Many of our clients have reported that our services generated the best return of investment (ROI) they have ever seen, when compared to conventional forms of marketing and advertising such as direct mail, print ads and trade shows. The ever growing increase of high speed internet access, both at the office and at the home, has pushed this even further. There are currently over 200 million internet users within the U.S. alone and over one billion internet users worldwide.
Who are the Major Search Engines? No surprise, Google currently holds the #1 spot. We remember when Yahoo was king and Google had yet to be born. In the early days there were a dozen or more search engines considered to be major players. Today, Google, and Yahoo collectively dominate over 95% of all search engine traffic (keep in mind that AOL pulls their results from Google as well). Thus, when it comes to search engine optimization and search engine marketing services, our main focus is generating top positions within the big two – Google & Yahoo.
How long does it take for the search engines to list my site? It is entirely up to each search engine or directory. A few search engines index a site almost immediately. Some engines can take 6-12 weeks or longer and some may fail to list your site.
Is there a simple solution to top placement? There is no simple solution to attaining high search engine rankings. Search engine optimization is time consuming work and requires a healthy knowledge of how the Internet functions and how search engines operate.

Not being where your customer is looking could be costing you their business!
·Search engines are tightening up the loopholes to manipulate positioning. So called "doorway" pages, tricks with meta tag/keyword files, etc. no longer are effective. Paid keyword positioning, along with indexing, is the way to be seen on today's Internet.
·The vast majority of clicks occur within the top 5 positions on a search page.
·As a rule, the more competitive the business category, the harder it is to attain decent placement. Conversely, the more competitive the business category, the more important placement is to success of the business.
·At least first page placement is vital to be effective on the Internet. Your potential customer, client or user rarely clicks beyond the third bona-fide choice they are presented with. If your site is not on the top half of the first page, forget about being effective on the Internet.
·Strong placement on the Internet is becoming an absolute necessity, even for brick and mortar based retailers and non-internet related service providers. Consumers under 40 years of age are much more likely to search the Internet first for almost anything (making the "Yellow Pages" and other directory advertising much less effective).
·Companies that offer "voodoo" search engine positioning or "secret" methods will tell you not to expect results for several months. Meantime, they will keep asking you for money. While you're waiting for results, potential customers are doing business with someone else WHO IS NOW at the top of the search engines.
